I know you haven’t heard much from us lately. Maybe you’ve been missing our constant stream of delicious Facebook and Instagram posts. Maybe you noticed we seem more disorganized than usual. The truth is, we’ve been distracted. While we were baking our buns off (pun intended), life threw us a curveball, and now we’re so full of gratitude that we want to share it with you.
On October 16th, our fearless leader Michelle, the driving force and creative inspiration that built My Petite Sweet, suffered a severe brain aneurysm. They said the initial bleed should’ve ended her. They said she’d be in ICU for weeks. But if you know Michelle, you know she never does what’s expected of her. So, after one life flight helicopter ride (which she’s mad she doesn’t remember), several brain surgeries, and 11 days in the hospital, she came home, just as feisty as ever. We’re still missing her here in the shop, but she’s easing her way back into the fray.
With all this going on, during this annual time of thanks, we wanted to shout about the things we’re most thankful for — second chances, healthy loved ones, and the sweet smell of baked goods reminding us that the bakery, and its fearless leader, continue to push forward and thrive. And most importantly, you. Thank you for being in our lives, for letting us bake memories for you, for your business and support now and always.
